About Rob Lewis…
Rob Lewis is originally
from
Currently Rob
performs locally with Anima Bhakti, a duo that also features David Chris
(sax/flute/EWI) as well as freelancing for local bands such as Voxanova, Woody
Hite, Johnny Martin, and many others. Since moving to the Portland/Vancouver
area in 1997, Rob has performed with his own quartet at Jimmy Maks (jazz
nightclub), and also with local notables Terry Robb, 3 Leg Torso, Paul Delay
& Janice Scroggins.
Rob has developed a
solid teaching curriculum over the last 20 years, and he gives lessons at his
private studio in
On staff at Reed College, Lewis & Clark College, and
the Oregon Ballet Theater from 1997 - 2007 accompanying Ballet,
Contemporary, and Improvisational dance classes with electronic and acoustic
percussion, Rob has accompanied master classes by dance companies Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey, Kim Robards, Bebe
Miller, Andy Wong and Martha Graham.
